Compiling additional Software using the Xampp compiled libs

I recently combiled Zabbix, a monitoring system that run on Solaris on the same server I am playing with Xampp on.

In the process of compiling I ran into some minor issues. Noteably that the mysql.h header file is missing from the distribution. I was able to use another header from the SFW package that was already on the server and got the software compiled and installed.

I am curious if others have tried to compile other apps using the libraries that come with Xampp.
