WordPress v. 5.9 new standard theme - twenty-twenty two TT2

WordPress version 5.9 ets released on January 25th

it comes with the brand new, default theme Twenty Twenty-Two. This theme will be much more than an upgraded version of the well-known Twenty One theme. The theme arrives during an great and awesome exciting time for WordPress themes.
The TT2 is a great new theme - with the introduction of Full site Editing and Global Styles. Like its predecessor, Twenty Twenty-One, the new default theme makes some bold design choices. In this case it’s bird illustrations, complemented by Source Serif Pro for headlines, and a delicious array of patterns for limitless combinations.

The theme will be developed on GitHub until it’s ready to be merged into core.

Ein zentrales Thema bei der WordPress Version 5.9 wird das Full Site Editing (FSE) sein. Wenn man blockbasierte Themes wie beispielsweise das neue Standard-Theme Twenty Twenty-Two einsetzt oder testet, dann kann es schon mal sein, dass man doch einige Dinge per CSS ändern möchte. Viele Änderungen kann man natürlich auch direkt über die Eigenschaften der Blöcke regeln. Über den Customizer kann man CSS-Regeln unter „Zusätzliches CSS“ definieren. Wie man den Customizer in das Dashboard-Menü bei einem Block Theme einbindet, zeige ich in diesem Beitrag.
