starting point: Wordpress : 77 Mio sites : 55Tsd Plugins : 60% Marketshare ++ wordpress is one of the most successful Web-projects

The reason that number is so high is partly because of content management systems. A content management system allows even beginners to easily make a website in no time. cf. https://www.isitwp.com/popular-cms-market-share/

at the moment we re looking for Tech-Evangelists that spread the word of WordPress-development

The word evangelist is perhaps best associated with the four evangelists in the Bible. However, evangelism originally stems from a Greek word meaning the reward given to a messenger for good news. i for one think that evangelism is all about ideas that are good news and of course how those ideas spread and how they have a great ( more or less) impact in the world. But despite my original reticence to use the word – I have always passionately believed
in the power of spreading the word and in the subsequently in the power of evangelism as a communicative discipline.

There are four main competencies in the field evangelism:

- How do we craft a message or story that best embodies an idea.
- How are we able to spread those messages/stories through various communication channels and engagements.
- How can we engage and support communities that keep those ideas alive and help them evolve and grow.
- bringing the word to others who did not hear from Wordpress (cf Mark Granovetter - a early network researcher)

some ideas taken from Kurt Matzler, Elisabeth Pichler Andrea Hemetsberger; Who Is Spreading the Word? The Positive Influence of Extraversion on Consumer Passion and Evangelism

Abstract: This article seeks to enhance understanding of the relationship between personality, consumer passion and evangelism. It draws on the psychological literature on personality, love, as well as consumer behaviour literature on passionate consumption. A study was conducted among passionate car owners. Findings show that more extravert consumers are more likely to be passionate and engage in brand evangelism. Openness as a personality trait did not reveal a significant effect on passion and evangelism. Thus, we conclude that an extravert personality and a passionate relationship to a brand both favor the consumers’ active engagement in evangelism. https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... evangelism

Passion as a form of love Passion is most often associated with love or sexual relationships (Djikic & Oatley, 2004; Fromm, 1956; Hassebrauck & Fehr, 2002; Marston et al., 1998). Research on interpersonal love relationships has identified passion as a main component of love (Sternberg, 1997). In Sternberg’s Triangular Theory of Love (1997), passion is one of three components of love, besides intimacy and decision/commitment. The various possible combinations of these components make up different kinds of love, ranging from non-love to the most complete form of consummate love. According to Sternberg (1997), the term passion circumscribes the sum of drives that lead to romantic feelings as
well as physical attraction and desire. Furthermore, the strong wish and urge for union with the partner is one aspect of passion (Hatfield & Walster, 1981). Baumeister & Bratlslavsky’s (1999) definition of passion describes „[…

Consumer passion In the context of consumption, passion has recently been noticed (Belk et al., 2003; Shimp & Madden, 1988), particularly in an interpretive research context. Here, passionate feelings are not directed towards another person, but towards a product or a brand. Still, many aspects are very similar and therefore justify the use of the same term. Fournier’s (1998) concept of consumer-brand-relationships contains passion as one relevant factor for determining the brand relationship quality. Accordingly, if a consumer is passionate about a brand, he/she will engage in a much more emotional relationship with the brand and even miss the brand or feel loss when the brand is unavailable. Belk, Ger and Askegaard (2003) show how passion in the form of desire inspires and motivates a big part of contemporary consumption. They also find evidence for the assumption that passion leads to certain behaviors and show that idealization of the object is an immediate consequence of passion.
