How to run php and perl on live server

Hello Friends,
I need to run perl and php side by side in live server.
My problem is we need to embed links into html pages, just like xamp index page, If user clicks cgi-perl links perl will cache it and run appropriate cgi scripts otherwise php will _GET it. I don't think my host will allow me to install XAMP. Could you give me some guidance on how to configure my web server.
