Das Herzstück des Block-Editors sind die Blöcke. Dabei ist ein „Block“ eine eigenständige Komponente innerhalb des Inhalts: Absätze, Überschriften, Listen, Bilder, Videos sind die üblichen Beispiele dafür. Der Block-Editor bringt von Haus aus 35 verschiedene Blöcke mit. Blöcke wie der Zitat-Block oder der Einbetten-Block können dabei mehrere Variationen aufweisen.
