On the LAMPP "admin panel", I turned on password protection and want to turn it off. How do I do it?

Simply delete the according .htaccess files:

rm /opt/lampp/htdocs/xampp/.htaccess /opt/lampp/htdocs/webalizer/.htaccess /opt/lampp/phpmyadmin/.htaccess

I assume you're talking about the webserver password protection and not the MySQL or ProFTPD password protection.
