error 404 in. cant acces my files

Hello everyone!

I'm a new user of XAMPP. I've been trying to install XAMPP on a Chromebook (Linux) by following one of the guides on YouTube, and it was successful. I can access localhost:8080, and it directly redirects me to "http://localhost:8080/dashboard/."

The problem is: Why can't I access my files on localhost? I've tried creating an HTML file, but it's not accessible, even though I've checked that the file is indeed in the "htdocs" folder.

When I try to access my file, the following message appears:

Object not found!
The requested URL was not found on this server. If you entered the URL manually please check your spelling and try again.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

make sure to put your files in the right htdocs and the right path is /opt/lampp/htdocs/
