I have just installed Xampp-8.2.0-0 on my Debian Bullseye platform. When I first ran the application and clicked on 'Start All', both MySQL Database and ProFTPD started, but the Apache Web Server did not start.
The Application log showed:
Starting MySQL Database...
/opt/lampp/mysql/scripts/ctl.sh : mysql started at port 3306
Starting Apache Web Server...
/opt/lampp/apache2/scripts/ctl.sh : httpd started
Starting ProFTPD...
Checking syntax of configuration file
/opt/lampp/proftpd/scripts/ctl.sh : proftpd started
When I opened 127.0.01 in my Firefox browser I got:
Debian Logo Apache2 Debian Default Page
It works!
This is the default welcome page used to test the correct operation of the Apache2 server after installation on Debian systems. If you can read this page, it means that the Apache HTTP server installed at this site is working properly. You should replace this file (located at /var/www/html/index.html) before continuing to operate your HTTP server.
Removing /var/www/html/index.html, as suggested, did not change the result at 127.0.0.1.
Trying 127.0.0.1/opt/local generated a 'Not Found'' error.
I should add that I have a running version of Apache on my Debian platform.
This is rather frustration for me as I have a correctly functioning Xampp for Windows installed on my Windows 10 platform.
Any help in solving this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
