direct connection no more working in LibreOffice new release

After upgrading KDE Neon to 20.04 I noticed that LibreBase (either 64 or 7) cannot directly connecting with mysql, as it used in the past.
I reported it as a bug here: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134982 and here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1892635.
this the error message:
Code: Select all
SQL Status: HY000
    Error code: 2003
Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (111) /build/libreoffice-ron9it/libreoffice-7.0.0~rc3/connectivity/source/drivers/mysqlc/mysqlc_general.cxx:119

Someone there said that it could be solved modifying my.cnf and setting tcp instaead of socket as mysql, but I don't know if it will work and how to do it.
Consider that in browsers mysql works perfectly with php, no problem.
Thank

This is the answer of the developer of LO (https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134982#c24):
I am closing this report as NOTOURBUG.

Both Sylvain and Duns need to learn to configure their mariadb/mysql server with the relevant authentication plugin for each user and assign them a corresponding password, and then try and connect from LO with a supported password authentication mechanism before filing a report here.

Therefore what should I do?

Sorry, but this is not a LibreOffice Forum. I have no clue which authorization plugin is required by LibreOffice. Here is an article about known plugins: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/authentication-plugins/

Today I managed to solve this issue: commenting the line
Code: Select all
skip-networking
in my.conf (in /opt/lampp/etc).
