Fresh installation of 64-bit 7.2.32.0 after uninstalling a prior version that worked. As a result, I assume there is some artifact from the prior install but I have no idea where to look.
The installation appeared to have gone well, but when attempting to start lampp, the following occurs:
doug@DeepThought-L:~$ sudo /opt/lampp/lampp start

Then, one or two seconds later:
