I had a beatiful error on my terminal which says:
XAMPP: Sorry, I've no idea what's going wrong.
XAMPP: Please contact our forum http://www.apachefriends.org/
I encounter with the following challenge:
I setup on Linux Ubuntu XAMPP - it installed the files in /opt/lampp/
When I started it does not open phpMyAdmin because the Port 80 - http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ - I found a solution and configured the ports from 80 to 8000 and the SSL port 443 to 4431 and added something to the configuration file to handle Apache2.
Then the localhost/phpmyadmin is loaded but if I check the

The problem is that now mySQL and ProFTPD were running but ApacheWebServer is simple not reacting to Start button.
Can somebody help to clear this?
- So if anyone can help to wider my brain about Ports and how does it work exactly? A big overview with lot of diagram and picture.
- How can I force this Apache to up and running ?

How to handle database on local computer with an another program ? (SQLite or PostgrateSQL?)
