How do I maintain XAMPP Linux 32bit?

Postby borngeek » 08. December 2017 01:10

Hi Everyone! I found that there is no installation link for 32bit Linux even though the architecture is being supported on Windows. Since there must be many like me I wish to develop and maintain the 32bit distribution. Is it possible? If so how do I do it?

The Xampp 32bit version for Linux has been dropped quite a while ago due to missing requests. There is no 32bit Xampp for Linux anymore.

I know many software companies / computer training centers still use Linux on these computers. I'll be glad to maintain it.

But why 32bit? The last 32bit CPU has been built last century, actually all PCs can run 64bit without any hassle. There is no disadvantage using 64bit.

Ask Bitnami, they are responsible for Xampp.

Since a CSRF vulnerability was found in PHPMyAdmin it is required that a new 32 bit version for Linux is rolled out.

Simply replace Phpmyadmin with newer version. There is no need to replace any binary. Anyway Xampp is NOT recommended for production servers, but development only. Vulnerabilitys arent an issue on local development.
