#2002 error on new installation
Posted: 09. November 2017 16:22I have installed xampp 7.1.10 on Ubuntu 17.10 64 Bit. After starting it and trying to go to phpMyAdmin I get the following error:
I've tried installing and reinstalling different versions and each comes up with the same error.

#2002 - No such file or directory — The server is not responding (or the local server's socket is not correctly configured).
mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/2002): No such file or directory
Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed.
