setting a password on the XAMPP pages fails

Postby R.Gevred » 27. February 2017 23:23

Hi all,

I have installed XAMPP version 7.1.1-0 on Linux Mint version 17.2 64-bit by running the two commands as referenced "How do I install XAMPP ?" on https://www.apachefriends.org/faq_linux.html page.

Then, I have run the command as referenced "How can I make my XAMPP installation more secure?" also on https://www.apachefriends.org/faq_linux.html.
It worked fine to protect MySql and FTP.
But setting a password on the XAMPP pages always fails with the following messages :

Sorry, those warnings are issued in french ; however, it is understandable that none of the requested *.htaccess files have been created upon installation.
Can you help me fixing this issue ?
