MySQL Database won't start

I just installed XAMPP 1.8.3-5 on Zorin 9, and the MySQL database won't start. It just says stopped, and when I click start it says starting for a few minutes then goes back to stopped. When I try to view the status it says disabled.

If I try to start it again i get:

Starting XAMPP for Linux 1.8.3-5...
XAMPP: Starting Apache...already running.
XAMPP: Starting MySQL...ok.
XAMPP: Starting ProFTPD...already running.

How do I get the MySQL database running?
