Apache Won't Start and Other Stuff

I was having a lot of issues with XAMPP so I uninstalled and reinstalled it by basically deleting the /opt/lampp directory and everything within. Now Apache will not start. I get this in the command line:

XAMPP: Starting Apache...fail.
XAMPP:  Another web server is already running.
XAMPP: Starting MySQL...ok.
XAMPP: Starting ProFTPD...fail.
XAMPP:  Another FTP daemon is already running.


I have already restarted my computer as well as stopping apache and none of it worked.
