I have a website in the directory /opt/lampp/htdocs. I would like to make a subdomain of this website, such as about.example.com but I do not know how. Could you guide me step-by-step, as I am a beginner. Thanks!

You should google for tutorials, there are thousand of good tutorials. I dont think that someone will give you a step-by-step advice, as this is not the idea of this forum and (as mentioned before) there are really plenty of documentations out there in the WWW.
