How to install XAMPP for Linux on a different directory?

My root is getting tight in hard disk space. Although I have a NTFS drive which has a lot of freespace.

My goal is to create a ext4 hard disk image that will reside on my NTFS drive and then mount it which I can totally do. The problem is how can I install XAMPP 1.8.3 to another location aside from /opt/lampp. Any help guys? I can't seem to find portable XAMPP or XAMPP Lite for Linux on the XAMPP website.
