I wonder where is the source code of XAMPP? Its Linux version is only available as a .run file (http://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/files/XAMPP%20Linux/1.8.3/), which makes difficult the work of packaging it for distributions. The .run file doesn't have any kind of --extract option.
Since it is free (as stated in the homepage ==> https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html)
What is XAMPP?
XAMPP is the most popular PHP development environment
XAMPP is a completely free, easy to install Apache distribution containing MySQL, PHP, and Perl. The XAMPP open source package has been set up to be incredibly easy to install and to use.
I would expect at least that its source code should be publicly available. Am I missing anything?
