Can you move a website made in XAMPP for Windows 8, to XAMPP for Linux ( Or one Linux distro to another distro) ? Will it run?
Also, has anyone run a small business website in XAMPP Linux, and after securing it with password, run it on internet with your own computer?

Depends. in most cases that should would be possible.

XAMPP is not made or supported for live, production or public accessible environments.
