Apache Friends Support Forum

aight this is dumb on my part, i know, but i forgot to add the user "nobody" before starting everything. it all came crashing down, i added nobody, and everything except for mysql would start. it appears from looking at the error logs that mysqld is locked out of it's port, presumably by the forced exit. is there a lock file somewhere that i can delete, or how do i fix this?
