You want to install the CD Version on harddisk?

Don't you have Windows or Linux?

For Windows or Linux there is a Package to download here.

How would you do this?

Install an image to harddisk?

When fedora isn't fast enough for you install another distribution.

My SuSE Linux 9.0 is fast enough.

There is no possibility to install the XAMPP on CD to harddisk, because it was made to boot from CD not from harddisk.

Hi Repute,

You can install a Debian GNU/Linux. Only the core system without additional packets.

Then install XAMPP, and thats it....

Or, with apt-get (tasksel --> Webserver) only the packets for Apache, PHP,Perl and MYSQL

hi,
i have found that XAMPP works very, very well with the Core Linux Distro
it is an extremely small distro that requires you to build it from scratch. Just take a look at http://tonywhitmore.co.uk/core/index.html for a guide if you are not up to figuring it out yourself, and download it from coredistro.sf.net
about the fastest youre gonna get, but if you want a gui... that can get complicated :?
