Bad Group Name: nogroup

Hi, I have Puppy Linux Lucid 5.2.8 and the version of XAMPP is 1.8.2 that I just downloaded. When I installed xampp, it gave me an error of bad group name: nogroup. When I then tried to use the command

./lampp start

, it would not start the Apache daemon. Please give me some help on this issue. Thank you.
