Hi again guys. This time I'm using Fedora17. I've already installed Mysql Workbench because I'm working with Eclipse in some projeects of my college.

As I know, i can't mix xampp and a previous mysql installation. So how can I use xampp in this situation ? Maybe I'm wrong :|

PD: I'm not a native english speaker :D

The answer would be that you need to ensure the other copy of MySQL is not running at the same time. You could do that by preventing it from running on startup. That is likely controlled by init.rc.d. or init.rc.local

Look in this topic - there's a bit of explanation and a link on how to fix things

Hmm, works fine, when I enter to localhost, myphpadmin doesnt work. It says that I need to check something inside my.ini.
Hint: mysql-workbench and stuff are not activated.

As I have not put on my Mr. Spock avatar, its impossible to do a remote Vulcan mind-meld and guess what the exact errors are.

If you want me to be able to give advice that has value, you should post the exact error messages. :)

Good luck
