ATTENTION
Found a swap file by the name "/etc/apache2/.apache2.conf.swp"
owned by: root dated: Fri Mar 30 11:07:46 2012
file name: /etc/apache2/apache2.conf
modified: YES
user name: root host name: mattrees
process ID: 25842
While opening file "/etc/apache2/apache2.conf"
dated: Tue Feb 14 17:53:14 2012

(1) Another program may be editing the same file. If this is the case,
be careful not to end up with two different instances of the same
file when making changes. Quit, or continue with caution.
(2) An edit session for this file crashed.
If this is the case, use ":recover" or "vim -r /etc/apache2/apache2.conf"
to recover the changes (see ":help recovery").
If you did this already, delete the swap file "/etc/apache2/.apache2.conf.sw
p"
to avoid this message.
"/etc/apache2/apache2.conf" 230 lines, 7993 characters
Pretty Clear what i've done, so i suppose i must delete the file and recover, but i need the simple outline of how i do this please from some kind person....thank you!

If you are indeed running LAMPP/XAMPP you should not 'have' the files you are describing, as they belong to a LAMP stack type Apache installation. Maybe your system already has a LMAP stack installed?

:?:

Good Luck
