Generally, installing XAMPP is just matter of copying files. There's no installation in the 'installer' sense, so I see little likelihood of errors.
And, as Altrea said, building a traditional LAMP stack is not so hard any longer, whether its yast, yum or apt-get.

okay well i tried to do the tasks this way here - with the following programme that guides step by step.

UPDATE: well great - i was convinced by your encouraggin words - and i gave it a try. First i have entered localhost into the browser! AND believe it or not: I got the following response: IT Works - great i am overwhelmed.!!!
Well waht do i have to add if i want to run PHPMYADMIN as a Tool that helps me to manage a MySQL database!? That is the most improtrant question new!!
