XAMMP on flash media

I would like to know if it is possible to install Xampp to a NTFS partition, like "/media/BACKUP/". I extracted the file to that partition but could not initialize Xampp from konsole (I'm using KDE)....My goal is to have a "portable" server if somehow i mess with the system installation. I'm planning to have Xampp+Drupal+Moodle, using linux..I'm an Educator and need to build this as a personal project.

Or, I have a bigger question: Can I install the standard LAMP server (from KDE repositories) on that partition??
I know that the default local is /var/www, but can I have it on /media/BACKUP??

Thanks...

A. - probably not on all the XAMPP issues, but you are certainly welcome to try -

B. - why would you ask this here?
Can I install the standard LAMP server (from KDE repositories) on that partition??

another BUT, AFAIK - KDE is a desktop, not a core distribution.

C. - To do what you propose - start with a Linux that was meant to run on a flash drive - then add XAMPP -
XAMPP goes in LAST.
i.e. Google "Linux on flash drives"

Good Luck
