Fatal error: Can't change to run as user 'mysql'

Hi,

I've installed xampp on my Ubuntu 10.10 32bit Virtualbox VM. Everything went ok but after a rebout I got this:

Starting XAMPP for Linux 1.7.4...
XAMPP: Starting Apache with SSL (and PHP5)...
XAMPP: Starting MySQL...
XAMPP: Couldn't start MySQL!
XAMPP: Starting ProFTPD...
XAMPP for Linux started.

If I take a look in the logfile there are the kind of messages:

110409 16:44:36 [Note] /opt/lampp/sbin/mysqld: Shutdown complete

110409 16:44:36 mysqld_safe mysqld from pid file /opt/lampp/var/mysql/ide-VirtualBox.pid ended
110409 16:45:14 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /opt/lampp/var/mysql
110409 16:45:14 [ERROR] Fatal error: Can't change to run as user 'mysql' ; Please check that the user exists!

110409 16:45:14 [ERROR] Aborting

Does anyone know how to solve this?
