Fedora: Lampp Issue won't start?

Fedora: Lampp Issue won't start?

Hello i am new to linux, and figured i would start checking it out.
the xampp installed perfectly to the given /opt directory as followed on the site of download.

the issue is i logged into root; executed the run command for lampp(xampp) in the terminal and got this:

/opt/lampp/bin/php: error while loading shared libraries: libz.so.1: cannot enable executable stack as shared object requires: Permission denied
XAMPP: Starting Apache with SSL ...
/opt/lampp/bin/httpd: error while loading shared libraries: libexpat.so.0: cannot enable executable stack as shared object requires: Permission denied
XAMPP: Error 127! Couldn't start Apache!
XAMPP: Starting diagnose...
XAMPP: Sorry, I've no idea what's going wrong.
XAMPP: Please contact our forum http://community.apachefriends.org/f/
XAMPP: Starting MySQL...
/opt/lampp/bin/my_print_defaults: error while loading shared libraries: libz.so.1: cannot enable executable stack as shared object requires: Permission denied
XAMPP: Couldn't start MySQL!
XAMPP: Starting ProFTPD...
XAMPP: /opt/lampp/sbin/proftpd: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.1.0.0: cannot enable executable stack as shared object requires: Permission denied
XAMPP: Error 127! Couln't start ProFTPD!
XAMPP for Linux started.
[root@LinuxBox proxy]#



if anyone could help it is appreciated. i am just learning everything as of tutorials and trial n error. going well till this stand still :P

Hi proxikal,

I will strongly suggest you to launch lampp with elevated privileges, in this case a root account.
Try su -c 'sh /lampprootdir/.lampp startapache' and let me know what it respond.
