hey i cannot save documents in htdocs.

January 2011 16:07i cannot save.php files in htdocs.i tried to resolve it using chmod command.but it will give a message"fatal error u doesn't have the permission" whenever i tried to run it in localhost.Iam logging as administrator.can anybody give a solution for this .I am new to ubuntu.please help me
