I have been trying to find a good CMS in order to create a new website for our church. Since multiple people will be keeping it updated, I have no choice but to go with a CMS. After numerous frustrations with getting Joomla to work, I finally uninstalled XAMPP and reinstalled it. Now, I can't get MySQL to run, as I get the following dreaded error message:
"The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)"
Any idea how to fix this? I was doing a casual look on UbuntuForums and someone mentioned that Concrete5 seems to work well, and I need to get this corrected in order to be able to put Concrete5 to the test. I'm running PC/OS 10.1, which is based on Xubuntu. I really need to get this corrected ASAP.
Thanx in advance,
Fred in St. Louis
