XAMPP Status all items show "disabled"

when clicking "Status" in the nav bar the results shown are correct if the request was made using the server's IP address (e.g. http://10.17.0.2/xampp).
When using the server's FQDA (e.g. http://my.test.server/xampp) clicking "Status" shows all items "disabled", although they are enabled and everything else works absolutely correct. Seemingly this is an issue in the "Status" appl. Browsing forums and googleing did not yield any results or ideas for fixing.
Security is active and shows "secure" in either case, regardless of how the request was made, by IP address or FQDA.
Any ideas what to look at or any help are appreciated.
