Hi,

after installing XAMPP on linux i have seen the folder "htdocs" belongs to "nobody".

Has this any intention? Do you think owning that folder is a good practice?

Of course.

Let's ask you: which userid would you provide?

Hi,

I would provide my user, with the intention of being the owner of everything is inside.

I just want to add (if it is usefull..) i use LAMPP only as my local host.

You asked me:

which userid would you provide?

And then i answered:

I would provide my user, with the intention of being the owner of everything is inside.

Is my answer right?

It's your PC, it's your Server, it's your Xampp installation - everything is yours, not mine. So how can I evaluate whats "wrong" what not? Do what you want. What's the problem about that?

Anyway you told me there was an intention for owning 'htdocs' to nobody.

What is that intention?
