hi everyone
sorry noob here.
i'm running on a fedora 12 machine, and i want to set up xampp! as per the instructions in the site, i really want to know if i existing mysql database will get overwritten when i install xampp.

No, it won't.

Xampp will be installed in /opt. No files will be written outside this folder.
