https slow picture download on IE

I have XAMPP 1.72 configured on a Linux server. Everything is working well, but when accessing this server from IE on a PC, the gif and jpg are very slow, like 30 seconds. Some are quick, but others take forever. I figure this is some setting on the server. The network is internal, so access is very fast.

After hacking for days, I finally found the magical entry that caused problems. these two lines are in the ssl conf file.

SSLSessionCache shmcb:/opt/lampp/logs/ssl_scache(512000)
SSLSessionCacheTimeout 300

The cache was not being made, so I just commented these lines out and IE is now blazing fast.

I am not an SSL expert, I took this out of the XAMPP box. So if anyone knows what I should have done, let me know. For now I am leaving these out.

Now just to figure out how to keep IE from complaining about mixed secure and insecure data..
