Strange looking path

After having upgraded to 1.7.2 I see a strange looking path. It is located in /opt/lampp/etc. The pathname is:

/[/opt/lampp/var/perl/cpan and it contains two files:

1. prefs]
2. build]/Snapshot_2009_07_30_00

Both files have size zero. All files and folders have 30-07-2009 as their creation date.

I am quite sure I did not create these files manually. Also, I have never seen these files before.

Is this a result of the upgrade process that is meant to be there, or is it an error?
