Hi all
I'm using Xampp 1.7.1 for linux. It was working fine, but now the apache is not running.
when i restart apache it shoes error as below.
pls do the needful.

$lampp restart
XAMPP: XAMPP-Apache is not running.
XAMPP: Stopping MySQL...
XAMPP: Stopping ProFTPD...
XAMPP stopped.
Starting XAMPP for Linux 1.7.1...
XAMPP: Starting Apache with SSL (and PHP5)...
XAMPP: Error 1! Couldn't start Apache!
XAMPP: Starting diagnose...
tail: cannot open `/opt/lampp/logs/apachestart.log' for reading: No such file or
directory
XAMPP: Sorry, I've no idea what's going wrong.
XAMPP: Please contact our forum http://community.apachefriends.org/f/
XAMPP: Starting MySQL...
XAMPP: Starting ProFTPD...
XAMPP for Linux started.
[root@localhost ~]#

When I'm start the xampp I get this:

root@ubuntu:/# /opt/lampp/lampp start

XAMPP: Starting diagnose...
XAMPP: Sorry, I've no idea what's going wrong.
XAMPP: Please contact our forum http://community.apachefriends.org/f/
XAMPP: XAMPP-MySQL is already running.
XAMPP: XAMPP-ProFTPD is already running.
XAMPP for Linux started.
root@ubuntu:/#

Maybe this can help you, even though the error mentioned could surely have a lot of different causes.
