what is username for xamp 1.7 in CentOS 5.2

what is username for xamp 1.7 in CentOS 5.2 ?

i installed xampp 1.7 in centos5.2 . than i run following command

/opt/lampp/lampp start
/opt/lampp/lampp security (to change password)

i changed all password (xampp ,mysql ,...vs) succesfully and than i open localhost (in FF)
but it ask me user and password. i know password but i do not know username (it doesnot ask me username while i am changing password )

For access to the XAMPP area (http://localhost/xampp/), the username is lampp.

It says some where there, but it's easy to overlook. I had trouble with that when I switched to Linux.

Yeah, I wondered why that was done that way myself. It should be done the same way as Windows or make it clearly stated in the XAMPP security window.
After having the same problem, I found the page you linked to and solved my own problem, but it definitely should be addressed.

For those native to Windows, it's difficult enough switching to Linux only to have that adding to the learning curve. Hehe.
