Tomcat Add-on stopping Apache from starting

I'm new to Xampp and Linux. I had Xampp installed and everything worked well. I then tried to install the Tomcat add-on just as the instructions indicated. Now, Apache won't start, it has no idea why, etc...
Anyone have ideas on why this might be happening?
