Xampp + libapache-mod-perl???

HI, I trying to call a perl program using a xampp webserver, but this program has the module GD::Simple. When I call it whitou the module it works perfectly, but when I use the module doesn't. I've already talked to the server admin but he didn't give me any solution. I was wondering how xampp works, because I not get used to it. Should I install the libapache-mod-perl to let perl and apache to comunicate? If so, how do I do it? I'm using Fedora and there is not apt-get (only yum) and I can't install it. Any ideas?
