Backup under 1.6.4 in debian fails

I've had XAMPP 1.6.4 for my linux server for about a month now, and it's great. Though I want to be able to have better backups than just exporting mysql databases and bzipping HTML files. I've tried the internal backup function time and time again, but this happens over and over:
Any ideas?
