Upgrade path not clear.. (1.4.16 to 1.6.4)

hi all-
I'm unclear on the upgrade path between versions. I see minor version upgrades. but none for 1.4 to 1.5, 1.5 to 1.6, etc.

I dont mind doing several jumps to get to the current version, but what is the process for doing this? erase and start over?

hi all-

I figured there wasn't any upgrade path so I did a fresh install, re-imported the databases and directories, and got them working again.
