eAccelerator and PHP exceptions

eAccelerator 0.9.5.1 completely breaks PHP exceptions: they are never caught. There isn't an official release that fixes the issue yet; however, there's a patch available on their website.

Can you apply that patch in the next release of XAMPP? Otherwise, many of us all have to live without any accelerator .
