Can linux Fedora runs XAMPP 1.6.3?

Hi. I'm a linux dummy but I need to start doing PHP on linux and I'm not familiar what distribution. But people suggested me to try Fedora.

The download page for the new XAMPP said "tested for SuSE, RedHat, Mandrake and Debian". Is that mean Fedora has not been tested with XAMPP. It won't work?
