MySql not start after first reboot

I have an ubuntu 7.04...
I have installed xampp for using it with wordpress...

When i install xampp the first time i set security and all go ok...
After first system restart all work except mysql, simply not start without any error...

If i delete the lampp folder and reinstall... it work... after first reboot same error.

I have tryed with some version from 1.5.2 to 1.6.3a ... same trouble.

Excuse my bad english...
