Apache Friends Support Forum

When i type in http://localhost/[/b it brings up the index page of /opt/htdocs that I have edited. However when I type in [b]http://Mimas (Mimas is my local host name. In the shell it looks like "flipjarg@Mimas:$") it brings me to the default XAMPP page at http://mimas/xampp or http://localhost/xampp. How set it up so that both http://localhost and http://mimas are the same thing. Or at least direct me to the same thing.
