Can't view pages correctly on localhost

Hi all,

Before I run into detail about my problem, let me first state that I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to Linux.

On my Windows partition, I've been using IIS to view a web site that I'm working on, and test changes before I upload them. I thought I'd do the same in Linux (Ubuntu) using XAMPP.

I've followed the installation steps, and everything seems to be running fine. However, when I view the site that I've stored in HTDOCS, the .asp pages display as code, and any php (in this case wordpress blog) pages are displayed without their CSS modifications (just a default theme is used).

Can someone help?
