Can i change the server signature to the apache default because i think it's to long:

Apache/2.2.4 (Unix) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8d PHP/5.2.1 mod_apreq2-20051231/2.5.7 mod_perl/2.0.2 Perl/v5.8.7 Server at 83.117.102.76 Port 80

compared to

Apache/2.2.3 (<operating system>) Server at <ip> Port 80

can i change this?

Hi feest,

you have to edit the file "/opt/lampp/etc/httpd.conf".

Open it and search for the line starting with "ServerTokens" and replace "Full" with whatever you like.

"ServerTokens OS" could be what you're looking for.

(And don't forget to restart Apache after your change.)

cu,
Manu

thx this works, only xampp says UNIX in stead of CentOS (i know linux has a connection to UNIX but it would be better if it says CentOS) any suggestions? i'm not waiting for a manual output...
