How To Restore MySQL databases?

Postby webking » 25. March 2007 08:18

Somehow my mysql.sock is messed up and mysql doesn't run anymore.

So I've moved the /opt/lampp to somewhere else and re-installed /opt/lampp.

Now, there is one database under the corrupt old lampp, how do I make it work with the re-install version?

Any help would really appreciated.

Oh.... once in a while, the mysql.sock doesn't seem to work or got delete by root or something. The most common problem with mysql is that the mysql.sock got missing and corrupted. I think mysql has not yet rectify this issue ever since it got realeased.

So please help with the issue above. Thanks.
