Rebuilding PHP

Is the source code for Linux XAMPP available? I'd like to rebuild PHP with an additional option. Or, are there instructions on how to rebuild PHP within the context of XAMPP?

Dear Sir,

you may just download the original PHP Source from php.net.
The configures required are located at:

/opt/lampp/share/lampp/configures.tar.gz

You might need a couple of other libraries though, to successfully compile PHP.
